(Sittin´on) the Dock of the Bay - Otis Redding

Mi canción de hoy no necesita presentación, la verdad. Es uno de los grandes clásicos de la música Soul, y de la música en general. (Sittin´on) the Dock of the Bay es una maravilla de canción, compuesta por el gran cantante y compositor estadounidense Otis Redding.  Lo curioso es que este temazo espectacular, fue lanzado allá por 1968, al poco tiempo de la muerte de su autor, que falleció en diciembre de 1967. Por tanto, no pudo ver la repercusión de la obra maestra musical que había compuesto. Con esta genialidad que no tiene desperdicio, me voy. Pedazo clásico para hoy! Agur ;)

Otis Ray Redding Jr. fue un cantante de Soul, compositor, productor de discos, apodado King of Soul,​ (título que comparte con Sam Cooke) en reconocimiento a su habilidad para transmitir emociones a través de su voz. Es considerado uno de los más grandes cantantes en la historia de la música estadounidense y un artista seminal en la música soul y rhythm and blues. Su estilo procedía de la música góspel, precedente de su género musical. Influyó en muchos otros cantantes de soul de los años 60.
