Hoy me apetece rescatar una canción archiconocida, que hasta no hace mucho, no tenía muy claro a qué formación pertenecía, pero que conocía su letra aún así, casi de principio a fin. Mi canción de hoy es para Iris, todo un clásico que ya tiene sus años, y que catapultó a The Goo Goo Dolls, la banda de rock norteamericana que la compuso, a la fama mundial, al convertirse la canción, en todo un éxito, en un pelotazo grande, ya que fue elegida como banda sonora de la película City of Angels. Mi canción de hoy fue lanzada en 1998, e incluida en su álbum Dizzy Up the Girl. Disfrutando de este temazo nuevamente, me voy ;) Agur!
Goo Goo Dolls es una banda de rock estadounidense formada por Johnny Rzeznik (guitarra, vocalista), y Robby Takac (bajo). La banda la formaron ambos en 1985 en Buffalo (Nueva York), eran compañeros de universidad. En 1995 con el lanzamiento de mi canción de hoy, Iris, como parte de la banda sonora de la película City of Angels su gran éxito, 1987: Goo Goo Dolls.
